A 1.5 or 2 hour session either with either your own car or the driving school car will help clear up all the worries you might have about emergency situations:

• We’ll discuss punctures and how to avoid them.
• You will be given the car jack and told how to lift the car safely, remove the wheel and replace with the spare.
• We’ll open the bonnet and identify key things to check, and where to look for mechanical trouble.
• We’ll discuss a few emergency situations and how to deal with them safely eg jump-starting a flat battery, noises from the engine, what to do if the engine overheats, brake failure and common causes of breakdowns.
